The English Cottage in Evanston, IL
During long summer walks, our family would peer into the windows of this 1920s cottage. When it finally became available, we purchased it without even stepping foot inside. The home was not period correct, nor was the space very functional, so we opened up every wall possible without losing the historic charm. During the renovation, we uncovered brick behind the drywall and made an “in the moment” decision to keep it (even with the possible heat loss and crumbling). We also used old bed posts for the kitchen island, barn wood as open shelving, and turned a bedroom into a charming sun room. This home was designed to be lived in and loved — it’s charming, cozy, and inviting.
The Little White Barn in Saugatuck, MI

The kitchen is perfect for those who enjoy cooking or being pampered by an in-home chef. Equipped with a Monogram cooking hearth, 48 inch stove and other high-end essentials, you’ll be sure to enjoy this professional kitchen. There are 3 cozy bedrooms, a sleeping loft and 1 1/2 luxury Kohler bathrooms.
Old Scotch in Holland, MI
This 1920’s Arts and Crafts style cottage sits between Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan in Holland, Michigan. We fell in love with the idea of having a little cozy place to escape to on the weekends. When we stumbled upon this rundown, once loved cottage situated on Scotch street, we named it Old Scotch before we even owned it. Old Scotch was a labor of love. From tearing down 6 walls to let light flood in, to converting windows to french doors, to removing many layers of glue revealing gorgeous floors hidden beneath. This was a full renovation to bring back the glory years this cottage once knew.
